This band is my new favorite band! The composition of their songs are so well done , rorys voice is magic and the lyrics are always relatable

Fun fact: the instrument in the background of the second verse being plucked that sounds like a banjo is in fact not but kind of, lol. Will Carlson, the producer, made a video about that exact part stating it's a shitty acoustic with a pitch shifter to add the higher octave giving the illusion of a banjo in the mix.

"Our Truth" by Lacuna Coil is one of the songs that got me into metal. Sooo groovy and simple in the best way, definitely worth a listen!

Not sure if anyone else noticed when Taz the lead singer puts on the oculus it crosses one of his eyes, that is because he is crosseyed in real life and they steer into it for comedic purposes. Fucking love these guys!

I heard the three days grace as well as breaking Benjamin influences as well really fits will with early 2000’s nu metal wouldn’t mind to see it come back.

As a gentleman from the southern US, I do not listen to country music. HOWEVER, there is this amazing chick called Royale Lynn that does legit metalcore country. Super catchy, just like Bilmuri. Highly suggest checking her out.

I haven't been the biggest fan of Lacuna Coil. They are great musicians, but something about their music didn't really appeal to me much. The only two songs I like by them are Trip the Darkness and Our Truth. For me, this song again just doesn't really appeal to me.

Man, I used to listen to Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, and Leaves Eyes all the time back in the day. They all used to have a more symphonic metal sound, but I really dig this.

Also this shows how much y’all need to check out New Year’s Day on the channel. Ash is an absolute sweetheart. I went to a NYD show in 2017 and I was recording a video on my phone during one of their songs and she literally took my phone and kept recording and sang half the song selfie-style before giving it back. Then got to hang out with them for like 10 mins at the merch table afterward. One of the coolest experiences of my life, I’ll always be a NYD fan for that.

You gotta check out their songs "Layers of Time" and "Blood, Tears, Dust", those are fantastic and somewhat newer. If you want to go down the rabbit hole to earlier stuff then "Swamped". "Heaven's a Lie" or "Tight Rope" would be good places to start.

I really love the song tbh. And to be clear: I love Dimmu Borgir as well. The lyrics were a real grown up version of the angsty teen songs that much of the early pop punk stuff got away with. Mix down is done very well.

The day they released this new song last week was the same day they played here in Charlotte, North Carolina. They absolutely killed it on this song when they played it. One of my favorites of the set!
